Sample Projects - Consulting and System Integration Services

Our Project Consulting and Systems Integration Services practice area has been successful in delivering on several mission critical projects. Projects have included web and client server development, infrastructure deployment and support.

Web Development (Internet, Intranet and Extranet)
For a client consortium consisting of six entities including a non-profit, state and city government agencies, IIT is building a web based data management system that will link resources to manage over 1,000 emergency food providers (shelters, soup-kitchens and pantries). Once implemented, the system will be used by over 800 users.

IIT is responsible for the soup-to-nuts implementation including project management, business analysis, quality assurance, systems integration, security implementation and application development. Additionally, IIT will provide helpdesk services for 3 years after the implementation.

Distributed Banking/ Document Management Application
For a major international bank, IIT Consultants assisted the client in implementing a Web Based Workflow / Document Management System. This system, used by investment bankers, management and support staff, included functionality for SEC Compliance and Customer Reserves as it relates to equity, cash and fixed-income instruments. The system included numerous screens, reports and interfaces to other legacy systems. A key component of this system included managing a repository of confirmation and statement documents. Statements were stored in the database in Adobe's PDF format.

Cisco Based - Network Backbone Migration
For a major technology vendor / service provider, IIT Consultants participated in the implementation of an intricate network which included design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and migration involving Cisco Routers and Switches. The proposed network includes going from current FDDI backbone to packet over SONET based OSPF backbone (using OC3 scalable to OC192) and Gigabit Ethernet internally. In addition, the project included load balancing, firewall integration and network management. Advanced routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, POS etc.) were proposed and implemented.

Unix and PC Workstation Roll-Out
One of our major investment banking client implemented a global technology refresh program to remove sub-par equipment from the environment. This initiative included over 3,200 Sun Solaris and Windows NT machines in six locations. IIT Consultants received, installed, configured, deployed and provided post-implementation support to the end-user community. In addition, IIT Consultants provided project management, coordination, scheduling, data migration, documentation and methodology.
